Governor Fashola Celebrates Iwude Ijesha

The Governor of Lagos State, Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), and all Lagosians heartily rejoice and celebrate with the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran II, and my beloved brother and friend, Engineer Rauf Aregbesola, as well as other great sons and daughters of Ijesaland, on this IWUDE OGUN FESTIVAL 2009, today Saturday, 19th December, 2009.

May this festival continue to stir up rediscovery of the true spirit of our gallant ancestors and heroes, uniting all Ijesas at home and abroad, also bringing about rapid development and prosperity to Ijesaland.

Eko O Ni Baje o! Long Live Ijesa Kingdom, Long Live Nigeria.

As an Ijesa myself, I felicitate with my fellow citizens on this iwude ogun day. Though far away from home since I reside in The Gambia, West Africa with my family as Director of an NGO supporting rural education, wildlife and environment, also coupled with the fact that i travel frequently from my base, I regret I am not attending this year´s ceremony. I congratulate HRM, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland for making us Ijesas at home and abroad proud once again. KAAABIYESIOOOOO!!!

IWU IS THE CAUSED OF POLITICAL CRISIS IN NIGERIA
Uncle IWU is not a good Nigerian. because he held a commission today, he (iwu)didnt think of tomorrow, and am sure he will have families is this same country though them might out of country, but they will one day comes back. As he (iwu) puttig us (Nigerian) in PROBLES, his families will their lifes in sufferness. Amen. Exccept if his hands are plain white/cleared in this political crisis we are experiencing in this country. He think he has the control over us (Nigerians), yes , but limited. one day he will be former INEC boss.

Hearty Congratulations to an Outstanding monarch Owa Obokun of Ijesa land who has refused to be deceived, purchased or corrupted by the gangsters in the rein of Osun governance. Oba Aromolaran, I adore you, I love you and wishes you many more years in the throne of your fore fathers and by 2010 Iwude day, the real governor of people will be in charge and we shall have course to celebrate better.
