Investigation conducted by OSUN DEFENDER across Osun State, particularly Ilesa Community has revealed.
According to the medium’s investigation at Ereja Round About Area in Ilesa last week Thursday, housewives, ladies, particularly those working at Ilesa West-Local Government Council were in the rush to pick top wears and skirts for the Ileya and New Year festivities.

OSUN DEFENDER also gathered that similar situations pervaded at other major towns like Ile-Ife, Osogbo, Ikirun, as well as villages and hamlets across the state.

A patron and a mother of four children, Mrs. Felicia Aduke from Imo area, who was at Ereja Square to purchase second hand cloths for her children said she preferred the second-hand cloths to loyally made ones ones, stating that the materials were usually made of better fabrics.
While speaking in a chat with OSUN DEFENDER, a sixty year old housewife, Mrs. Gloria Babatunde said gone were the days where people hide their faces to purchase second-hand cloths, as she blamed the Federal Government on Nigeria’s woes, stating that the bad economy has led housewives and ladies into patronizing second-hand cloths.
