THE Elders Forum of Oranmiyan Group, an arm of Osun State Action Congress (AC) last Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Asiru Olatoye Olaniyan on the demise of his eldest wife.
According to the leader of the team, Alhaji Sulaimon Alaka said it is imperative for the group to pay such visit to the monarch because of his love for the ordinary citizens and his belief in the masses.
Though, the team did not meet the monarch as at the time of the visit, but at hand was the Baba-Kekere of Ilobu, Alhaji Raufu Oyedokun with other immediate members of the monarch’s family to receive the visiting Action Congress members.
During the visit, prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased and also for the protection of God over the entire household of the monarch.
The prayer session was attended by the Iya-Oba of Ilobu, Madam Awanat Olaniyan, Olori Bola Olaniyan, Mr Nasiru Olaniyan and Mr Sheu Olaniyan.
Responding to the condolence visit, the Babakekere of Ilobu, commended the goodwill of the Action Congress members and pray for the protection of all and sundry.
Present with the visiting team was Chief (Mrs) Aduke Adewale an Action Congress member and a socialite in the town.
In a similar development, the Action Congress members in Ofatedo’s belief in the potency of prayer was put into action, when its members gathered for a prayer session in the town to pray for the success of the party’s governorship candidate Engineer Rauf Aregbesola at the court of Appeal billed to sit in Ibadan.
According to the chairman of the Action Congress in Ofatedo, Alhaji Rauf Babatunde Ajani, the prayer is needed in time like this, as the members of the party believe in divine intervention for true justice to prevail.
The interdenominational prayer session was attended by all members of the party including well-wishers of the party in Egbedore local Government area of Osun State.
